We checked the bees today, they are busy building comb, the queens in both hives are looking good and laying eggs, larvae are already developing. This is all good, though a spell of cold weather won’t be good now as the bees might realise too …
And what are we actually doing! Well, right now we should be cleaning our super frames, checking our kit and deciding about buying a new hive. We are not doing any of that. Firstly work is too busy, second we have to buy two new …
So, look at us! we are all smart and fancy for the next season with our new look blog site. Why did we move? We wanted a bit more control over things for the future and since everything else is about to get going again, it seemed like a good time.
And our new name? Well, we have roaring bees, so why not.
What else has changed, our hives have moved and are all settled into a new spot. We are looking at the bank balance and thinking about another hive too. The move is exciting because, remember the amber and conker colour honey? this time it might be different again and will most likely have a slightly different favour. We have very nearly run out of honey to eat so things cannot move soon enough.
